During the fight, the gunshot was fired and the German villain was hit in the chest by a bullet that came from his back and lodged in a wall, authorities said.
The couple’s 16-year-old son heard the gunshot and ran upstairs to find his father on his back and his mother performing resuscitation, prosecutors said. She told the teenager to collect her medical kit from her car.
The teenager did so and waited outside for paramedics to arrive after calling 911. His father was taken to hospital where he later died. An officer learned that an officer had been shot and was the first to respond at the house, prosecutors said.
Jacqueline Villasenor reportedly told the officer who responded that the couple were arguing over an affair they were having and that the shooting took place after she threatened to kill herself. The officer noticed the smell of alcohol on his breath and reportedly refused to take a ministry-required alcohol test.
When paramedics arrived, she refused treatment.
Investigators found three pistols in the chamber: two Glock service pistols, one of the missing magazines, and a 9mm Sig Sauer pistol. The fired cartridge holster was still in the Sig Sauer firearm, indicating that the weapon was “caught or pressed firmly against something” according to court records.
Officers also fired a sharp bullet from the ground.
Villasenor is accused of negligent homicide. She was posted $ 50,000 bail on Friday and is scheduled to appear in court on November 23.
