Teenage boys who were stabbed to death in Essex at the weekend have been pictured for the first time and eight men are held on suspicion of murder.
The 16-year-olds, known locally as Frankie Gater and Charlie Gater , were stabbed to death as a result of their stab wounds in Essex yesterday when eight people were arrested for murder.

Police have opened a preliminary investigation into a double homicide which they described as “possibly a targeted attack”.
And now the tributes to the “much loved” pair , who were stabbed to death on Sunday morning at around 1:30 a.m.
One of Frankie’s relatives took to Instagram and paid tribute to his’ unique ‘cousin, saying,’ Words can’t put how broken my heart is.
“It causes me physical pain. I lost my cousin. I can’t believe you’re gone, I feel like I’m lost in a nightmare.
“Our whole family loves you, Frankie Gater. Rest in a perfect paradise.
“You always made me laugh and I would love to see your face.
“Your smile has lit a light in my soul every time I heard your name. You were unique, Frankie Gater, there is no one like you.
“I’m sorry you couldn’t see the rest of your life.”
A friend of the boys added, “Words cannot explain how I feel about losing my brother CP and you to Frankie, he will always be in my heart.”
Another friend of Charlie’s said in a heartfelt tribute, “I promise I will make you so proud and always think of you, Charlie.”
“To be honest you were loved by everyone so much and you and Frankie didn’t deserve it.
“We’ve planned our whole future together and I’ll pretend you’re always with me.”
Andy Mondeal, 37, who lives a short walk from the crash site, said neighbors were “shocked”.
He said: “We are still a little shocked by what happened.
“I got home around 7:30 am the day this happened and it was normal.
“But there is an alley nearby with a pub at the end. So on the weekends there are lots of people running in the streets.”
A third victim has been treated for injuries sustained after the stabbing which police say are not life threatening or life changing.
The relatives and friends of the victims laid flowers with many young mourners, under which they paid tribute to the two murdered children.
Investigators are working to find out exactly how they died and a forensic examination is underway.
Essex Police Chief Mark Barber said the horrific incident was “likely a targeted attack” and an isolated incident.
Chief Inspector Andy Clarkson of the Kent and Essex Major Crime Branch led the investigation overnight.
He said: “This incident required an immediate and large-scale response, and officials and investigators worked overnight to piece together what happened prior to this tragic incident.”
“Our investigation will continue all day today.
“We understand that after such a tragic loss of life there will of course be shock and concern in the community. But at this point, we don’t think there is a greater threat to the public. ”
Chief Inspector Mark Barber added: “There will be a very visible police presence in Brentwood this morning and throughout the day.
“I understand that this incident will shock a lot without the community.”
Police are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of Regency Court or the surrounding streets of downtown Brentwood at the time, or who has information, to report, citing Incident 125 of October 24.
Chief Inspector Investigator Stuart Truss said:
“Our team continues to investigate the circumstances which led to the deaths of two teenagers early Sunday morning in Brentwood.
“We are currently investigating many avenues of research, including evaluating the hours of video surveillance that show the area in question.
“We also have specially trained family workers who continue to support the families of the children.
“I also answer a call for anyone in the Crown Street area of Brentwood between 10pm. Saturday and 5h M. From Sunday morning so that you can come and talk to us if you haven’t already ”.
