A Bronx man was sentenced to 24 years in prison on Friday for kidnapping his girlfriend and 7-year-old son and holding them for days because the woman allegedly cheated on him.

Aquilino Torres, who made life difficult for Manhattan federal judge Denise Cote, was convicted in July for the heinous crime in which he repeatedly raped the woman and beat the child.

Prosecutors alleged that Torres kidnapped the woman and her child on October 5, 2020 and initially kept them in a Bronx motel, where he beat them both and raped the woman.

The next day, they drove an Uber together to an apartment in Washington Heights, where Torres detained her for five days, prosecutors said.

During the kidnapping, Torres repeatedly beat the woman and the 7-year-old boy and tied them once to the bed frame to prevent them from escaping the apartment.

He also snorted cocaine in front of her eyes and raped the woman in the apartment, it was rumored.

In a post-conviction statement, US Attorney Damian Williams praised the FBI and the NYPD for arresting Torres and getting a conviction.

“Aquilino Torres brutally kidnapped a 7-year-old boy and his mother and threatened to kill the baby,” Williams said in a statement.

“He held his victims prisoner and abused both the mother and the child. Thanks to the FBI and the NYPD, Torres has been arrested, tried and convicted of these horrific crimes and has now been sentenced to a long prison term, “he added.
